Background

All of "Your Children's Future in the 21st Century" was written by George and Betty Stoll during the later 1980's and early '90's. Kent Dillion worked for them from 1969 to 1983, which included all of the shipboard program plus two years of furiously active writing of the "Your Children's Future" Notebook Program, which shows what you can do at home to make up for the failures of the government schools. Betty called Kent back in 2011 to publish all of this material on the web, shortly before her passing. See the timeline below for more details.

Time Line

George Stoll read many books long before he became inspired to spread his conservative ideas including liberatarianism, objectivism, 4th R, conspiracies and such in the 1970s. Here is a summary timeline:

  • 1957 - George Stoll marries Elizabeth (Betty) Gibson Vosburgh in Sarasota, FL
  • 1970 - George Stoll incorporates the 4Rs Academic Method, Inc. in Florida
  • 1967 - George Stoll converts his motel into a Seafaring Camp
  • 1968 - George Stoll creates and academic program for full time secondary school
  • 1969 - George Stoll moves his 'Flint School' onto his kid's schooner TeVega.
  • 1981 - Jim Stoll, George's son, withdraws his support for the Flint School and puts TeVega up for sale. Jim parts ways to create an non-academic based seamanship life-skills training school, which is still operating. George & Betty Stoll start writing Your Children's Future newsletter series from material accumulated over the years with the help of Kent Dillion as editor. After TeQuest sells in 1982, they returned to Florida.
  • 1989 - George Stoll files for dissolution of the 4Rs Academic Method, Inc
  • 2007 - George Stoll passes away 2007 at 87yo with severe Dementia and leaves Betty with his writings her.
  • 2011 - Betty Stoll just before passing, hands over the writings to Kent Dillion and asks him to put them on the internet.
  • 2012 - Kent makes a PDF note in the Final Document that the project was never completed and he hoped to resurect the 4th class teachings from his notebooks!
  • 2019 - After years of taking about posting these writings on a website, Kent asks P.K. Stevens to put these on the internet in public domain.
  • 2020 - Kent Dillion passes away after an illnes on Dec 17th.
  • 2021 - P.K. Stevens finally formats them into a web friendly format adds them to the Flint School eMuseum site here.
